Join us at the Queer Open Mic at Strut, where every third Tuesday, the LGBTQ+ community comes together to celebrate talent in music, poetry, and comedy. Hosted by the dynamic duo Matthew Beld and Cynthia in Pubic, this event at 570 Castro Street in the heart of San Francisco is your stage to shine in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the mic, our community is here to support you. Sign-ups start at 7 p.m.โbe sure to get there early to secure your spot! Matthew Beld is a talented writer and comedian based in the Bay Area, known for their sharp wit and engaging storytelling. As a co-host of the Queer Open Mic at Strut in the Castro, Matthew helps create a welcoming and inclusive space for queer voices to be heard every third Tuesday. Beyond Strut, theyโre a regular performer at shows like Bawdy Storytelling, About Last Night, and Toxic Thots, and they also write about transgender life for Broke-Ass Stuart. Whether theyโre hosting, performing, or teaching sketch comedy with Killing My Lobster, Matthew is dedicated to fostering creativity and connection in the queer community.

CYNTHIAINPUBLIC is a dynamic comic, producer, and activist based in San Jose, known for their bold performances and commitment to uplifting diverse voices. As a co-host of the Queer Open Mic at Strut in the Castro, CYNTHIAINPUBLIC brings their energy and passion for storytelling to this inclusive event every third Tuesday. They are also the Overlord of Bangou Productions, a platform dedicated to supporting diverse artists and their stories. CYNTHIAINPUBLIC has graced stages like the Flappers Yoo Hoo Room, Variety, Laugh Riot Grrrl Festival, and has opened for Amy Miller. When not on stage, they serve as an emotional support hooman to their cat, Samson.
